Identity’s annual id50 celebrates influential regional design leaders

Bruno Gomes, Concept Design Director at Dewan Architects + Engineers, has been recognised in identity Magazine’s 2026 id50, featuring among a selection of influential architects, designers and creative leaders shaping the region’s design landscape. Featured in the magazine’s July edition as part of the id50 Global Firms list, Bruno was recognised for an international career spanning 23 years across Europe, the Middle East and Asia, including more than 18 years working in the region. Educated in Portugal and Italy, Bruno has worked across a diverse range of project types and scales, from cultural institutions and pavilions to major urban developments. His portfolio includes landmark projects such as The Mall and The Line in Saudi Arabia, as well as the Opportunity Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, reflecting an approach that balances ambitious architectural ideas with sensitivity to context. Bruno’s experience encompasses all stages of the architectural process, from concept development through to detailed delivery. His work combines creative thinking with technical expertise, while his multidisciplinary background and global perspective inform an architectural approach that embraces innovation and responds to the cultural, environmental and human dimensions of place.
