First Homes Completed at Masaar as Arada’s Forested Sharjah Community Reaches Major Delivery Milestone

Dewan supports delivery across all three phases

The first homes at Masaar, Arada’s forested residential community in Sharjah, have been completed, marking a significant milestone in the delivery of the large-scale development. All 430 homes within Sendian, the first residential district at Masaar, entered the handover process following completion, welcoming the community’s first homeowners and bringing the original vision another step closer to its built reality. Dewan Architects + Engineers served as design and supervision consultant across the first three phases of Masaar, supporting the development from design through construction delivery and helping maintain continuity between design intent and built execution. The completed homes within Sendian range from two-bedroom townhouses to five-bedroom Sendian Park Villas and form part of a wider community conceived around nature, outdoor living and connectivity.

Spanning approximately 19 million square feet, Masaar is planned to comprise around 3,000 villas and townhouses across six gated districts. At the centre of the masterplan is a defining green spine, a landscaped and walkable network incorporating thousands of trees and connecting the residential neighbourhoods with community amenities and outdoor spaces. The wider destination also includes leisure, recreation and food and beverage amenities designed to support an active, community-focused lifestyle. Its central precinct incorporates a skatepark, children’s adventure playground, events space and food truck district, while the Masaar Track extends the development’s focus on movement and outdoor living. The completion of Sendian represents an important transition for Masaar from a developing masterplan into an established residential community, while marking a significant milestone in Dewan’s wider design and supervision role across the first three phases of the development.
