Overview
Located within Dubai's Jumeirah district, City Walk Phase 1 is a contemporary retail and leisure destination that complements the surrounding residential neighbourhood. Conceived as a walkable urban environment, the development brings together nearly 60 retail units, restaurants, cafés and community amenities within a carefully landscaped public realm, creating an active destination for residents and visitors alike.

Design Response
Rather than functioning as a conventional shopping centre, the project is organised as an open-air streetscape where architecture and landscape work together to shape the public experience. Retail frontages are interwoven with generous pedestrian routes, water features and shaded green spaces, encouraging movement, interaction and extended dwell times. The arrangement of buildings and public spaces creates a sequence of outdoor environments that soften the intensity of the surrounding city while reinforcing the walkable character of the development.

Experience of Place
City Walk is conceived as more than a retail destination. Restaurants, cafés, everyday services and landscaped gathering spaces establish a social focus for the surrounding community, encouraging visitors to linger beyond shopping alone. Extensive planting and water features introduce moments of relief within the urban setting, creating what the project describes as "an oasis of elegant relaxation and outdoor enjoyment" at the heart of a vibrant mixed-use neighbourhood.
